About the role

Homily Videographer

The Homily Videographer is responsible for recording, editing, and publishing the weekly Sunday homily delivered by Dr. Miravalle in the Guadalupe Chapel.

Responsibilities
Arrive prior to the Sunday Mass to provide Dr. Miravalle with a lavalier microphone and ensure all necessary recording equipment is properly set up.
Video record Dr. Miravalle’s homily in the Guadalupe Chapel.
Immediately following the homily, report to the Marketing and Communications office to edit the recorded footage.
Ensure the video is edited promptly and meets the University’s quality and branding standards.
Upload and publish the completed homily video to the AMU Homliy YouTube channel and Spotify as soon as possible to ensure it is available to viewers in a timely manner.

Position Expectations

This role requires reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work efficiently under a tight turnaround time. The Homily Videographer should be comfortable operating video and audio equipment, editing video content, and publishing content on Adobe Premiere Pro to YouTube & Spotify.

Requirements

  • Position Requirements
  • Must be available to work on Sundays during the scheduled Mass/homily time.
  • Ability to arrive early and remain available until the video has been edited and published.
  • Basic experience or familiarity with video recording and editing.
  • Familiarity with video editing software is preferred.
  • Ability to upload and publish videos to YouTube or willingness to learn.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under a quick turnaround timeline.
  • Must be reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to AMU branding and content standards.
