Advisors are an informal, non-governing body of Catholics who are the best in their field. They inform the Institute through their experience and example. Advisors can mentor Scholars, teach short courses, lecture, visit our beautiful campus, and take Scholars on industry field trips.
I love the idea of The Institute at AMU and I was flattered to be thought of as being one of the "best in my respective field!" I love the idea of lifelong learning, and thinking of education not as a building, a campus, or a diploma, but as quest to learn as much as we can about God's creation while we are here, and to share that knowledge with others.
I am honored to be a part of this endeavor at Ave Maria. It is paramount to protect Catholic education in this time of turmoil, and to help offer a clear cultural vision for the future. It is my belief that the development of our imaginations sits at the very center of the our person, made in God's Image. I look forward to playing a role in this stirring of the imagination at Ave Maria.
This Institute is what I wish I had when I was a student at AMU. God blessed me with great mentors that I met through Ave that got me on a great path to success, but this Institute provides a clear vision for students to achieve success as well as allowing them to maximize the AMU education they have earned in the marketplace. AMU grads should be confident to lead organizations one day; this Institute gives them the guidance and path to be successful post-graduation. I want to do anything I can with the gifts I have been given from AMU to support other students on their career journey.
I believe that Catholics that excel at living the Catholic faith and at their professions can change the world for the better. It is possible to be a Catholic that strives for sainthood and a great professional in the business and academic world. The Institute provides us with an avenue to help support and grow more of these men and women, to help make the world we live in a better world for the glory of God. I am very excited about the opportunity to be part of this effort as an Advisor and put my years of experience in the corporate business world in service of shaping the Institute's program to become best in class and equipping the Scholars for success.
My plan has always been to give back to the best of my abilities once my business career came to an end. This opportunity at Ave Maria fits perfectly with this plan, and as a bonus aligns with my family's faith and personal compass. My career has allowed me to work in family, Fortune 500, and international companies. The biggest concern in most companies is hiring talented, energized and trained candidates. I believe I can help bridge this gap.
I'm incredibly interested in bringing real-world skills and business radar to Catholic students, from my experience at McKinsey, Goldman Sachs, UBS and Schlumberger. Specifically, my 'Wall Street bootcamp' experience at Goldman Sachs is something I can easily replicate at Ave Maria. I also led the Innovation Olympics globally for McKinsey, and eager to roll-out similar programming at Ave Maria, as a class and business school ecosystem.
You've been there. You've been where our Scholars are now, and through prayer, hard work, and practical skills you have excelled. Let your example and experience help the Scholars in the Institute at Ave Maria University excel in their paths. Teach short courses, lecture, or bring Scholars on industry visits.
